While providing cool comfort and relief, packaged ice is often a critical part of recovery efforts. Following a natural disaster or emergency, Reddy Ice works with state and local entities or their brokers to manage the procurement of critical commodities, like packaged ice and bottled water. These support efforts may extend to the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA), the Salvation Army, and the Red Cross as part of the federal government’s unified national response. Whatever the situation, Reddy Ice stands by to support communities and first responders during times of need.

At Reddy Ice, we are proud to offer disaster relief support. Being International Packaged Ice Association (IPIA) accredited ensures that our Packaged Ice is safe and pure. We are also members of E-ICE, Electronic Emergency Ice System which allows IPIA to know the local inventory we carry at any given time (how much, where and whether trucking is available and how fast it can get loaded). A centralized system links our network of production and distribution facilities. These establishments have plans in place to make ice readily available in the affected areas.
